Unique Handcrafted Metal Dragon Sculpture Articulated Wings:
$300.00

This is a large, 5.5 pounds one-of-a-kind metal dragon that functions as both a sculptural art piece and a table lamp. The body is built from overlapping dark metal discs that create a scale-like armor effect across the back and sides. The underside and legs are finished in a warm gold-to-yellow painted metal with visible seams and welds that give it a handmade, artisan character.
The head features a dark metal snout, small red glass or painted eyes, cream-to-yellow horns and ear-like flaps, and an open mouth with a protruding lower fang. A large frosted white spherical globe (the light source) sits against the chest/shoulder area, framed by a gold-tone ring. The tail is a long, flexible, ribbed metal tube that tapers to a flat triangular barb with gold highlighting.
The most distinctive feature is the pair of large, bat-like wings. They are constructed from painted sheet metal in a faded turquoise-blue with raised ribbing that mimics wing bones. The wings are attached with visible metal brackets and rivets and do move — they can be positioned more open or more closed. Decorative curled wire scrolls in matching blue and gold tones run along the spine and wing bases.
The piece shows honest age and use: some paint wear and chipping on the wing edges and brackets, light surface oxidation in spots, and the overall patina of a handmade metal object that has been displayed rather than stored in a box. Nothing appears broken; the structure is solid.
This is not a mass-produced resin or plastic figure. It is heavy-gauge metal work, likely assembled and painted by an individual artist or small shop. It would make a strong statement piece on a coffee table, console, or in a game room, library, or fantasy-themed space. Because the wings articulate, it can be posed differently for photos or display.
Condition: Good vintage/used handmade condition. See photos for exact paint wear, surface marks, and construction details. The globe is intact
