This is a really neat Falstaff display with the illuminated shield in the center surrounded by etched sporting graphics including golf, fishing, sailing, skiing and other outdoor activities. Across the top is Falstaff’s period advertising slogan, “America’s Premium Quality Beer.” When illuminated, the center shield and etched acrylic give off a great warm glow that looks especially good in a darker room.
The sign remains in nice displayable condition but does show normal age and use. There is some chipping along the edges of the acrylic, along with surface scratches and scuffs. Please look closely at the photos, particularly the edges and corners. Despite the wear, the graphics remain attractive and the sign displays very well when hanging and illuminated.
The original Thomas A. Schutz C-103 instruction/manufacturer label is still present on the back, which is a nice feature and helps identify the exact model.
A very cool mid-century Falstaff advertising piece and an unusual sports-themed beer sign that you don’t see nearly as often as the standard Falstaff bar lights.
