Ries was a notable 1950s–1960s post-war importer that specialized in hand-decorated, highly stylized Japanese ceramics. They are popular for their mid-century kitsch and retro home decor.
This specific mold—featuring the distinct elongated necks, curved tails, and soft pastel airbrushed gradients of peach, blush pink, and muted green—is highly desirable. This is a well-preserved pair with the original red and gold foil labels on the bottoms.
