Rare matching vintage Stratton Vanity Set featuring a Convertible Powder Compact and a Matching Folding Handbag Comb
Both pieces Made in England during the mid-1960s to early 1970s and come with their original vintage presentation boxes. Chinoiserie design - deep black enamel surfaces with multi-colored floral scrolling and gold detailing.
Stratton Convertible Powder Compact
Black enamel lid with the floral Chinoiserie layout on the front. The backside features the Stratton "all-over star" textured pattern with the central signature logo cartouche. The interior mirror is fully intact with excellent clarity and light, minor silver aging around the edge borders. Includes original embroidered "Stratton" powder puff. The hinge and front push-clasp function perfectly, snapping securely shut. Excellent vintage condition. The enamel front is bright, crisp, and beautifully preserved with minimal surface wear. 1.5” in diameter.
Stratton Folding Handbag/Pocket Comb
Matching black and gold floral enamel cover plate on the front side. The reverse side is beautifully engraved, with a sunburst engine-turned design on a scalloped gold-tone frame. The housing swings open smoothly. Comb is brown faux-tortoiseshell celluloid. It is stamped “Made in Stratton England" in clean gold lettering. Comb teeth are in pristine condition with zero broken or missing tips. The hinge is sturdy and in full working condition. 7.25” open and 4” closed.
Both pieces come with their original patterned Stratton presentation boxes. The compact box is a square vanity box, and the comb includes its original long cardboard sleeve (no lid).
