VTG 80s Oaxaca Clay Market Woman Guillermina Aguilar Alcantara Signed GAA 4.75" For Sale

Vintage 1980s authentic Mexican folk art pottery figurine handcrafted by celebrated master ceramicist Guillermina Aguilar Alcantara from Ocotlán de Morelos, Oaxaca, Mexico.

This highly charming, hand-molded piece depicts a traditional indigenous market vendor wearing a white blouse and blue skirt, balancing a large tray of hand-painted green nopales (prickly pear cactus pads) on her head. The figure features exquisite authentic details, including prominent regional disk earrings and a long black braid draped down her side.

The piece is hand-signed on the reverse with the artist's initials "G.A.A.". The bottom remains open and hollow, characteristic of traditional Oaxacan hand-modeled clay work.
