Vintage Boy Scouts of America (BSA) Tenderfoot Emblem Pin Set (Lot of 2) – Made in USA. Up for sale is a historic pair of vintage gold-tone Boy Scouts of America (BSA) pins featuring the classic Tenderfoot fleur-de-lis emblem. This lot is a fantastic addition for scouting collectors because it showcases two distinct eras of official American-made uniform hardware.During the mid-20th century, the BSA exclusively utilized domestic metalworks (such as the Robbins Co. and T.H. Stange Co.) to produce their insignia. Included in this lot: One (1) Early Safety Pin Style (Circa 1920–1940): Features an early wrap-around hinge and open C-catch closure. This style was heavily utilized for collar insignia during the pre-WWII era. One (1) Standard removable butterfly clutch made from durable lightweight brass metal with a polished gold-tone plating. BSA starting using this type of fastener in the late 1950s and 1960s.Condition: Both pins are in good cosmetic condition with minor surface wear and natural patina consistent with age.
