Hand-turned wooden lidded pedestal vessel crafted as a one-of -a-kind art piece. It is a shallow, wide-brimmed bowl resting on a flared pedestal base. Lid features a matching dome-shaped lid topped with striking, cone-shaped finial. The body is made with an exotic hardwood with distinct, bold vertical grain. The finial tip is finished in a contrasting teal color. Vessel is beautiful as a decorative statement piece, trinket box for small jewelry, or artistic hollow form vessel for collectors.
1940s turned wood vessel signed by artist Rudolph or Rudy Mafko. Rudolph Mafko was a sloven sculptor that worked in Clevland, Ohio during the 1940s, but later returned to Europe.
