This item is a vintage Jadeite glass combination ashtray and drink coaster (or matchbox holder), styled in a classic mid-century or Art Deco silhouette. Excellent Condition, no chips cracks or breaks.
Key Attributes
* Material & Color: It is crafted from opaque mint green jadeite glass (often referred to simply as "Jadite").
* Design Features: The layout features a dual-purpose design. The large semi-oval section serves as a multi-slot cigarette ashtray with molded ridges, while the attached circular well on the side is designed to securely hold a beverage glass, coaster, or a matchbox.
* Lack of Markings: It is very common for glass utilities from this era to have no maker's marks. During the 1930s to 1950s, major American manufacturers like McKee Glass Company, Jeannette Glass, and Anchor Hocking (Fire-King) produced vast quantities of jadeite restaurant ware and smoking accessories that relied entirely on paper labels or went completely unmarked.
