There are many great pros to this binder, starting with the stunning display artwork. The main front and back panels are incredibly bright and clean, and the signature 90s neon inks have preserved their intense color beautifully over the last thirty years with very minimal fading. On the inside, it features the classic, vibrant dual-tone hot pink and deep purple color blocking with two built-in horizontal storage pockets, and the 3-ring metal mechanism still holds tight. The inside is very clean for its age. To ensure one hundred percent transparency, there are several cons and structural flaws shown throughout the photos that you should review closely before buying. In the images, you can see a close-up of a notable split along the clear vinyl laminate seam right at the lower corner of the purple spine. The clear outer vinyl laminate has completely split open along the top edge of the front panel. Because of this split, the rigid cardboard core structure is exposed and is sliding slightly out of its plastic pouch. Other images reveal that the clear vinyl laminate has completely split open along the bottom edge as well. These views also show significant bowing and warping across the panels when the binder is resting closed, meaning it does not lay entirely flat. The inside pockets and lining have some typical waviness, light crinkling, and age-related wrinkling standard for thirty-year-old plastic stationery. If you are looking for a flawless, mint-condition deadstock binder, this is not the one for you. However, want a classic piece of 90s history for a budget-friendly price—or if you enjoy restoring vintage vinyl school supplies—this is a fantastic find.
