Stunning Unmarked Vintage Mid Century Modern Ceramic Cornucopia Horn of Plenty Vase/Planter Centerpiece
This piece showcase a dual glaze design with a warm golden mustard ochre tone on the exterior body that contrasts beautifully against the highly gloss deep olive green interior
Not only gorgeous but it has design function. Inside the trumpet opening is a built in structural ceramic divider wall. This feature was engineered to hold fresh flowers, faux autumn foliage or even mini pumpkins. The bottom resting base is smooth and fully glazed showing its excellent vintage productions craftsmanship.
Condition Notes...
This is an authentic vintage piece from the 60s and is in very good overall vintage condition but it has a few minor glaze rubs/flakes along the exterior rim edge consistent with age and one tiny factory kiln pop/glaze flaw on the lower interior green scoop surface.
This is a perfect addition to your Thanksgiving centerpieces or autumnal tablescapes (or ever year round for retro home decor) It is very Mid Century Modern! But if we think outside the box it looks like a giant classic Sherlock Holmes style Calabash pipe. Would be great on a desk or to actually hold some of your smoking pipe collections - dare I say Man Cave(ish)
