When viewed under black light, the green radiance is a testament to Pairpoint\'s craftsmanship. This glassware bears a resemblance to the antique \"Vaseline\" or Uranium glass cup plates. This is a limited edition vintage crystal Pairpoint Glass cup plate featuring the historic Fairhaven Memorial Unitarian Church. This cup plate version is without the lettering N.B.I.S. Pairpoint cup plate number 84 was commissioned by the New Bedford Institution for Savings in 1980 as part of their coveted Fairhaven, Massachusetts Series cup plates. The church was built, financed and donated to the Unitarians in 1904 by Henry H. Rogers in memory of his mother, Mary Eldredge Huttleston. Designed by architects Brigham, Coveney and Bisbee of Boston, the church boasts an impressive 15th century Gothic perpendicular style. Vintage Pairpoint Glass lead crystal cup plates are works of art that feature intricate designs and decorative elements not commonly found on modern glass. The artisan created a steel mold with hammer and chisel for each intricate design, and then hand-pressed molten glass into the engraved mold using an antique press. Each cup plate has the artisan\'s initials and the Pairpoint trademark embedded within the design.
