Rare, vintage hunting knife by Gordon Harlow of Harlow-Peters Knives. Beautiful, layered Damascus steel blade with ricasso, polished, ATS-34 stainless-steel guard & butt, with black & red spacers. Very nice, one-piece, vintage stag handle. This awesome knife was completely handmade by Gordon Harlow, of West Virginia and is a true collector piece. One of the few knives that he made on his own before joining with Keith Peters to start the Harlow-Peters knives project. Peters was also a custom knifemaker before they joined. This knife is NO.5 and is stamped as such. Very well-made, with excellent fit, finish and expert craftsmanship, from tip to butt! The polished stag handle has a lot of character, and the feel of this knife is outstanding. The Damascus blade is super nice and has a semi-sharpened top edge. Superb craftsmanship from a highly respected maker. Original leather sheath from Harlow. 10.5'' OAL. 5.5'' blade. 5'' handle from guard to butt. The ATS-34 S.S. butt-cap has been shaped and formed to the stag handle.
