Up for sale is a fantastic piece of early American motoring history. This is an original, vintage fold-out Highway Map of Kentucky, Tennessee, and Mississippi, published by the Highway Map Co. out of Topeka, Kansas. Based on the cartography and style, it is estimated from around 1930 (noted by a previous collector\'s light pencil mark at the top).
Map Details & Features:
Mississippi Side: Features a detailed standalone \"Highway Map of Mississippi\" compiled by G.A. Draper, State Highway Engineer of Mississippi. Includes an intricate road legend, county seats, and main routes down to the Gulf of Mexico.
Kentucky/Tennessee Side: Features a large, detailed regional highway map covering Kentucky and Tennessee, compiled by J.S. Watkins (State Highway Engineer of Kentucky) and C.N. Bass (State Highway Engineer of Tennessee).
Cover Art: Shows beautiful, crisp blue graphics featuring a classic 1920s/1930s automobile, titled \"The Right Way\" Complete Road Information. Note the unique, period-correct geometric swastika corner accents, which were commonly used in the 1920s and early 30s as a traditional symbol for good luck or \"the right path\" before its later historical association.

Condition Report:
This map is in very good vintage condition considering its age.
The paper has a lovely, light natural aging/patina.
The fold lines are intact with only minor wear at the intersections.
No major tears, heavy stains.
There is a light, faint pencil notation (\"1930(?)\") on the top margin of the cover side, which does not impact the graphics.
