Vintage 1938 Westinghouse Precision Radio “Cozy Corner Ensemble” Advertisement:

Offering for sale a professionally matted and framed advertisement for the vintage Westinghouse Precision Radio. It highlights the “cozy corner ensemble” feature which dates this advertisement to 1938. This is the year Westinghouse produced and heavily advertised the cozy corner ensemble. I also dated this according to the 2018 Volume 31 “The AWA Review” produced by the Antique Wireless Association. In the AWA article entitled “Radio & TV Graphics: Magazine Ad Illustration Art” (page 97), it mentions noted African-American artist E. Simms Campbell (1906–1971) produced in 1938 a colorful Playboy-style cartoon ad for Westinghouse featuring a very happy sultan and his beautiful harem titled "Westinghouse cozy-corner ensemble". Also included in the article is a graphic matching the ad I am selling. This ad likely hung in a store due to its size. I purchased it from a ham radio operator and radio collector. I have never taken the ad out of the frame due to its professionally framed condition. As a result, I cannot speak to the condition of the ad edges. What is visible is in very good condition. The framed dimensions are 34 inches long and 17 inches tall.
