Vintage circa-1940s figural laundry sprinkler bottle made by Cleminsons California Pottery. This hand-painted ceramic piece depicts a Chinese laundryman holding an iron and wearing a pale blue bow tie and matching shoes.
The removable metal sprinkler top is still present—an important feature frequently missing from these early laundry bottles. Originally filled with water and used to dampen clothing before ironing, it now makes a distinctive collectible for a vintage laundry room or California pottery collection.
The underside retains a faint Cleminsons California / Hand Painted mark.
Condition:
Good vintage condition with age-related glaze crazing, light discoloration, surface marks, and expected wear from previous use.
