This listing is for an exceptionally rare, highly collectible piece of authentic mid-century vintage barkcloth fabric. Manufactured by Spectrum Fabrics in the late 1940s, this iconic "Mansion Cherubs" (also known in collector circles as the "Portal" pattern) perfectly captures the dramatic, theatrical flair of the Hollywood Regency and Rococo Revival eras. This was originally a lovely curtain panel.
The scenic print features classical stone urns, ornate architectural portals, romantic garden gates, and whimsical cherub / cupid statues beautifully framed by lush, dramatic foliage.
The piece size is approximately 19x22" - one side is a stitched hem. It is currently uncut so if you order two pieces it would measure 19x44". Three pieces would be an L shape. Very good condition and excellent for use as pillows, small upholstery pieces or as a framed piece of art. Good condition!

About Wildflower Studio: Welcome to Wildflower Studio, where you'll find vintage and collectible treasures, beautiful fabrics and embellishments, charming home decor pieces and a menagerie of other items I have collected during my treasure hunting trips. Having grown up on a farm in the Midwest, I'm drawn to simple and natural items - I do love the worn and tattered look of old linens. I wonder what their story is and how I would use it - probably in some sort of sewing project. You'll find references to my mother in Wildflower Studio; sometimes scattered throughout the wrapped packages you receive, or perhaps as an element in junk journal supplies. Copies of pages from her Bible are on the back of some of my studio tags, complete with her notes and underlines; and pages from a beloved hymnal are a frequent addition to my packages. My mother was a gifted pianist and painter and most likely the reason that I love beautiful things. I hope you'll see a glimpse of her in my studio - Wildflower Studio.
Have a wonderful day!
