This is a Vintage 1950s Lot of 85+ Pieces of Engineering, Steel, Sheet Metal, and Office FurnishingsInvoices for items purchased by The Central Sheet Metal Company, Seattle, Washington.I think there are probablymore than 85 pieces,but there are multiple invoices on successive dates from companies from whom Central Metal bought over a period of time. In glancing over the invoices, it appears that most are from a relatively short period of a couple of years with datesmainly in 1950 and 1951.There are also a few other itemsas seen. Themost interesting is probably the letter toUS Senator BurnetR. Maybank, Chairman, SenateCommittee on Banking and Currency, signed bySenator Warren G Magnuson, and four other Senators. I skimmed the letter and it appears to be a plea for relief on behalf of small aluminum fabrication companies, threaten with collapse of their business due to the terms of Order M-7, of the National Production Authority. The letter characterizes the order as \"a potential death warrant for some ten thousand, of the fourteen thousand small aluminum fabrication companies\".MostWashingtonians / Seattlites, in particular, have some familiarity with Senator Magnuson\'s illustrious carrer. A Seattle park and a number of buildings are named in his honor, as well as are a number of awards. The wikipedia article provides a lot of additional biographical information.
