100% authentic vintage 1950s Hires Root Beer advertising sign. This is a single, solid sheet of lithographed tin manufactured by the Press Sign Co. It features a unique factory layout where the front face displays the main advertisement, and the back side displays an exit greeting for customers.
The front face showcases the iconic mid-century mint-green and cream vertical stripes, a highly detailed graphic of the classic ribbed glass Hires bottle, and the slogan "...ask for Hires." The reverse side features a green background with a yellow top banner reading "Thank You... Please Call Again."
Condition Report:
The sign is in good vintage condition. The front "Hires" graphic has exceptional color retention with very minimal fading on the lithograph. The piece displays age-appropriate wear from authentic commercial store use, including structural bowing/warping along the top edge, light surface scuffs, and minor paint chips near the border. Please review all high-resolution photos closely to assess the exact cosmetic condition before purchasing.
