Vintage Mid-Century Modern double gooseneck Calla Lily style desk/table lamp in an attractive olive/avocado green with brass-tone base and flexible metal goosenecks.
Tested and working. The lamp has a 3-stage lighting function, allowing the lights to be illuminated in different combinations. A video a little over one minute long is included with the listing showing the lamp powered on and operating.
Approximately 30" tall as positioned in the photos. Because the gooseneck arms are flexible and adjustable, the overall height and width will vary depending on how the lamp is positioned. Please see the photo with the measuring tape for additional size reference.
The flexible gooseneck arms still move and allow the shades to be repositioned. The original-style green finish presents nicely for its age, with normal scratches, marks, finish wear, discoloration and other signs of age/use. The brass-tone base also shows age-related wear, spotting and finish loss. Please review all photos closely for condition.
IMPORTANT VINTAGE ELECTRICAL CONDITION:
• Both lights currently work.
• One light socket is somewhat loose. When attempting to remove the bulb, the socket housing began turning along with the bulb, so I stopped and left the working bulbs installed rather than risk damaging the socket or wiring.
• The bulbs currently installed become quite hot during operation. They are included as found, but replacement/removal with an appropriate bulb is recommended at the buyer's discretion.
• Wiring underneath the base has wire-nut/pigtail connections as shown in the photos. I do not know whether this wiring configuration is original or represents a previous repair/rework.
• The power cord has electrical tape wrapped near the plug, as pictured.
Because this is an older electrical lamp with the conditions described above, a buyer may wish to have the cord, sockets and wiring inspected or serviced by a qualified person before regular use.
The underside of the base has a stamped maker's mark/logo and the number "1536," as pictured.
This is not a perfect example, but overall it displays very well for its age and has a fantastic period Mid-Century Modern look. Please use the photos and video as an important part of the condition description.
