Vintage 1950s RPPC Lake Dock Rowboats Canoe Vacationers L. L. Cook Co Photo For Sale

Vintage 1950s RPPC Lake Dock Rowboats Canoe Vacationers L. L. Cook Co Photo.Postcard DetailsA genuine 1950s real photo postcard (RPPC) published by The L. L. Cook Co. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and printed on Kodak Paper postcard stock, with the Cook imprint and Kodak stamp box on the back. The photograph looks out over a wide lake from a grassy resort shore: a wooden dock juts into the water with vacationers gathered at its end, rowboats are loading and pulling away, a lone canoeist paddles out on the open water, and four people relax in lawn chairs on the shore in the foreground, watching it all under a clear summer sky, with young pines at the water\'s edge and a forested shoreline across the lake. It is a classic 1950s lake-country vacation scene. The lake and town are not identified anywhere on the card, and there is no caption or writing on the front or back. One format note that is part of this card\'s character: the card itself is full standard postcard size, approximately 5-1/2 x 3-1/2 inches, but the photograph is printed small and centered on the front inside wide white borders, and the picture itself measures only approximately 3-3/8 x 1-3/4 inches. Cook printed many of its 1950s vacation cards this way from smaller vacation negatives.Condition NotesThe card is in very nice condition overall, with a sharp, clean black-and-white image and bright white borders. There is a tiny dark fleck at the left edge of the photograph and a faint hairline scratch in the sky area at the right side of the photograph. The card was never mailed and the back is clean and blank.Shipping and Handling◆ Packaging: Shipped securely in a protective plastic sleeve with card stock support inside a white envelope.
