Original Vintage Schwinn 13/16" Forged Steel Top-Pinch Handlebar Stem
Up for sale is an original factory-forged steel handlebar stem (gooseneck) removed from a 1950 Schwinn Black Phantom 26" balloon tire bicycle.
Fitment: Standard 13/16" (20.6 mm) quill diameter for vintage Schwinn steerer tubes. Fits standard 7/8" handlebars.
Compatibility: Correct for late 1940s through 1950s Schwinn balloon tire and middleweight models, including Black Phantom, Phantom, Autocycle, B-6, Panther, Hornet, Jaguar, and Wasp.
Design: Features the classic top-pinch binder bolt configuration and original expansion wedge mechanism.
Condition: Original survivor condition. Shows heavy surface patina, surface rust, and chrome wear throughout, as pictured. Complete with top expander bolt, wedge nut, and clamp bolt. Needs rust removal/cleaning or ideal as-is for a original patina / barn-find build.
