Vintage 1951 Singer Featherweight Portable Electric Sewing Machine 221-1 w/Case.
Case Measurements: 10.75" x 14.5" x 8.25". Sewing Machine: 9.5" x 15.5" (folded out) or 11.25" (folded in) x 7.25". This lot comes with the 1951 Singer portable electric sewing machine model 221-1, the original case, nine additional attachments and tools, twelve additional needles, four spools of thread, one machine lubricant, one motor oil, and one instruction book.Made by The Singer Manufacturing Company, Elizabethport, New Jersey, U.S.A.
The case and machine both have wear consistent with age and use including scuffs and scratches. The leather covering on the case is coming up in some areas as shown in the photos. The latches on the case still work perfectly! The sewing machine and the light both turn on but did not test the actual sewing needle. All pieces are in overall good condition for being almost 75 years old.
