Adorable vintage 1956 NAPCO ceramic long-neck deer salt and pepper shaker set. This whimsical mid-century pair features sweet hand-painted deer with oversized ears, expressive eyes and eyelashes, pink bows, floral hats and white fawn spots. A wonderful example of 1950s Japanese ceramic kitsch.
Both pieces are marked © NAPCO 1956 on the underside. Each has three shaker holes at the back of the head.
Pre-owned vintage condition with age-related wear to the hand-painted finish and base consistent with a piece approximately 70 years old. Please review photos closely for condition. No major damage is apparent to me from the photographs provided.
