Up for sale is a beautiful, vintage Singer Model 99K sewing machine head ONLY, manufactured in 1957 and stamped "Made in Great Britain" (produced at the famous Kilbowie, Clydebank, Scotland factory)..This heavy-duty machine was originally housed in a sewing cabinet and has been safely removed for easier, more affordable shipping. The serial number is EM528194. Features the highly sought-after, retro "bug-eye" style backing lamp (Simanco Spotlight) and a side-loading vertical bobbin system. Known for their incredible stitch quality and indestructible cast-iron build, the 99K is a legendary ¾-size machine perfect for heavy-duty sewing or vintage collection.
Condition Report:Mechanical: Tested and running smoothly! The motor hums beautifully, and the needle bar moves effortlessly up and down.
Electrical: The classic bug-eye light turns on and functions perfectly.
Cosmetic: In great vintage shape for its age. The black finish still has a wonderful shine.
