This unique handmade photo album, titled "Take Me Out to the Railroads," contains 100 black-and-white photographs, many of which are meticulously dated and annotated, spanning from 1960 to 1963. The photos feature various trains, rail stations, junctions, and other railway-related scenes, capturing a fascinating snapshot of mid-20th-century railroad history.

The album itself is a labor of love, with custom inscriptions and hand-drawn titles like "Northern Maine Junction - Aug. 1960" and "White River Junction - Aug. 1961." The dedication on the cover reads:
“To Father from his Three Bagooses – June 1963.”

The term “Bagooses” appears to be a playful take on "cabooses," reflecting the family’s shared love of trains and suggesting that the contributors (likely children or family members) saw themselves as the “cabooses” of their father’s life. This whimsical touch adds sentimental charm to the album.

Condition:

• The album pages are extremely brittle due to age, but the photos remain in good condition.
• The pages are annotated with detailed notes and dates, enhancing the historical and personal value.
• We will pack the album carefully to ensure it arrives safely.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece for collectors of railroad memorabilia, photography enthusiasts, or anyone who appreciates mid-century Americana. Don’t miss the chance to own this sentimental and historical treasure!
