Au Petit Riche had been operating at 25 rue Le Peletier since 1854, opening under the Second Empire beside the old Opéra Le Peletier and serving as an everyday canteen for the opera\'s coachmen, journalists and staff. It was later given the Belle Époque interior of carved woodwork, beveled mirrors and red banquettes that it still carried at the time of this 1967 menu. Long associated with Loire Valley wines and traditional bourgeois cooking, the restaurant remains in business today.
