Up for sale is a wonderful vintage Ekeko figurine, the traditional Andean god of abundance, prosperity, and good fortune. This piece features excellent mid-century folk art craftsmanship and was originally purchased in 1968.
He is dressed in a traditional knit chullo cap and is fully loaded with his classic miniature offerings designed to attract wealth and prosperity—including a guitar, a suitcase, a slice of watermelon, and woven baskets.
Condition: Paint on the face remains vibrant with a great open-mouthed expression. His broom is missing some bristles but this is in overall excellent vintage condition considering its age.
