Vintage hand-painted terracotta tripod bowl from Guerrero, Mexico, dating to approximately the 1970s to 1980s. Done in the highly detailed \"Amate\" storytelling style unique to the village of Xalitla, this piece features an incredible black-line panoramic narrative over a cream slip-glaze base.The dense interior artwork depicts a vibrant village celebration beneath a smiling sun, complete with a traditional cockfight (palenque) ring, thatched-roof huts (chozas), mountains, townfolk, and local wildlife. The exterior rim is wrapped in a continuous, intricately detailed wedding procession scene. It rests on a classic three-footed (tripod) unglazed terracotta base, making it a striking display piece for global, mid-century, or southwestern decor.Size:
