Vintage lot of six assorted pinback buttons featuring 1970s-era feminist, women’s liberation, counterculture, humor and novelty themes.
Highlights include a large “CALL ME Ms.” women’s rights button, a Wallflower Order button featuring women dancing and playing a drum, and a large yellow “WHEN GOD CREATED MAN SHE WAS ONLY JOKING” slogan button.
The lot also includes:
• “I’m not the little fart you think I am” pink novelty button
• “Tell me it’s not just my body you crave” fabric-covered turtle button
• “do your own thing” eye-design button
Buttons vary in size from approximately 1 inch to about 3 inches in diameter.
Pre-owned vintage condition with varying amounts of age-related wear. Several show visible spotting, staining, surface marks, discoloration and/or oxidation to the backs. The “CALL ME Ms.” button has particularly noticeable spotting and staining on the front. Please review all photographs closely for exact condition.
Pin mechanisms are present as pictured. Some backs are unmarked; one larger button has a Badge-A-Minit LaSalle, Illinois back.
