Vintage 1970s Miss Juliana Willoughby Tin Wall Plaque George Romney 12\" For Sale

The original portrait was painted by renowned British portrait artist George Romney (1734–1802) between 1781 and 1783. It depicts young Juliana Willoughby wearing a wide-brimmed bonnet tied with a pink ribbon against a softly painted landscape and blue sky. The original painting is part of the National Gallery of Art collection in Washington, D.C.

This vintage reproduction has a wonderfully decorative octagonal metal form with an elaborate embossed border. Repeating black-and-gold acanthus-style foliage surrounds the portrait, while antiqued gold-toned inner and outer borders give the piece the appearance of an ornate period frame.
