Exceptional large 21-yard continuous length ofvintage Scalamandré decorator fabric in the Chantilly pattern, #7755, anexclusive design by Dorian Nisinson dating to the 1970s.
This classic polished chintz has a paleceladon-blue ground with a delicate crackled or marbleized background,scattered floral bouquets and charming butterfly accents. The flowers includepink and coral blossoms, blue roses and smaller blue flowers, golden yellow andwarm orange flowers, with varied green foliage.
The sophisticated but cheerful palette has awonderful English country house, garden room, cottage or traditional look.
The fabric has the smooth, crisp hand andsubtle polished sheen characteristic of traditional glazed chintz. The selvageretains the identifying Scalamandré markings, including “Chantilly” #7755 and“Scalamandré exclusive design.”
This is a useable quantity: one continuous 21 yardlength, 55” wide. The large uncut yardage provides enough matching vintagefabric for a substantial decorating project without the difficulty of trying tomatch dye lots from separate pieces.
The pattern is directional, with a definitetop and bottom. Particularly well suited for draperies, curtains, valances,Roman shades, bed hangings, canopy panels, wall treatments, pillows, cushionsand other traditional home decorating projects.
