Vintage 1976 \"The Exciting World of Metrics\" King-Seeley Lunchbox No Thermos For Sale

Up for sale is a 1976 \"The Exciting World of Metrics\" lunchbox. The lunch box was manufactured by King Seeley Thermos Company.
In the 1970\'s, the U.S. government encouraged more general use of the metric units of weight and measure. To teach the children about metric units, some parents purchased this lunch box. The lid of this lunch box illustrates four things commonly measured with metric units (the output of power generators, the size of the car and motorcycle engines, Olympic distances, and prescription drugs. The back shows the U.S. Decimal units of length, weight, volume and temperature. One side shows the U.S. decimal currency, while the other shows natural phenomena associated with decimal units (the century plant, the centipede, and the millipede). The top has a scale of inches with their equivalent in centimeters. The bottom illustrates decimal units of time.
This lunch box is a great addition for any collector of vintage lunch boxes/memorabilia, it is a rare lunch box. Lunch box is in good condition with the usual scratches and dents expected of a product that is over 40 years old. Does not include thermos. Will only sell and ship this item in the United States. Thank you.
