Up for sale are original, rare public commuter rail passenger timetables issued by SEPTA in partnership with Conrail, effective October 29, 1978 and October 26, 1980. This is the official "RR-8" schedule covering the legendary and completely defunct Bethlehem Branch corridor between Allentown, Bethlehem, Quakertown, and Philadelphia.
1978 Historical Significance: This specific late-70s issue is highly collectible as it captures the final year of train service to Allentown before it was permanently canceled in 1979. By 1981, all passenger rail operations north of Lansdale were entirely abandoned, making this a spectacular historic record of Pennsylvania diesel commuter transit.
Also included are two duplicate copies of the RR-8 schedule from October 26, 1980. Allentown is no longer listed on the map.
