Offered here is an original 1978 Edwin M. Knowles Fine China collector plate titled “The Fourth of July,” painted by American artist Don Spaulding.
This was the first issue in the Americana Holidays Collection and features a classic patriotic scene of two children marching with American flags and a drum, accompanied by their dog.

CONDITION
Excellent unused-appearing vintage condition. This plate appears to have remained carefully stored in its original packaging and shows no obvious evidence of having been displayed.
The original box, matching Certificate of Authenticity, and accompanying collection paperwork have remained with the plate. The box and paper materials show normal age and storage wear.
The reverse states that this limited edition was permanently closed in 1978. It is also marked: “Not for use with food because of rare metal pigments used for color fidelity.” This plate is intended for decorative/display use.
