Charming vintage hand-painted ceramic mermaid figurine dated 1979 and signed “B. Forsythe” on the underside. This graceful mermaid features a dramatic backward-leaning pose, flowing blonde hair, a seashell bodice, and a softly colored pale aqua and green tail with individually molded scales.The figurine appears to have been created from a slip-cast ceramic mold and finished by a talented hobbyist. The soft pastel coloring, matte bisque-style finish, and beautifully painted facial details give her a lovely vintage appearance.Please note that the mermaid’s dramatic pose gives her a naturally backward-leaning presentation.
