Vintage Enesco ceramic clown head piggy bank. Excellent vintage condition — looks barely used.
Classic late-1980s Enesco Designed Giftware piece made in Sri Lanka. Colorful hand-painted whiteface clown with red nose, blue eyes, yellow side hair, black hat with teal band, and teal polka-dot collar. Coin slot on the back of the head. Original black rubber stopper still in place (marked ST 3-89). Original gold Enesco foil label on the base.
Measures approximately 5.25 inches tall.
Excellent vintage condition. Bright, glossy paint. No chips, no cracks, no repairs. Original stopper and label present. Light, typical age crazing in the whiteface glaze and very minor paint rub on high points — common on these ceramic banks and barely noticeable in person. Base has expected unglazed wear. Displays beautifully.
A sharp example of 1980s Enesco circus kitsch. Great for a clown collection, vintage nursery/decor, or as a working coin bank.
