Charming vintage Susan Reyes Pegasus pull-string Christmas ornament, dated 1985.
This articulated wooden ornament features a beautifully illustrated winged horse decorated for Christmas with a holly and berry wreath woven around its neck and mane and tiny jingle bells around its ankles. The detailed feathered wings and old-fashioned illustration style give it a wonderful folk-art/storybook appearance.
Pull the red wooden bead and string at the bottom to move the Pegasus's articulated wings and legs. A separate red thread loop at the top allows it to hang as an ornament. The round ball at the end has some bite marks from a family pet.
