Vintage 1987 Florida Gators Gator Growl UF Matchbooks RARE First Union Lot of 3 For Sale

Gator Growl is the University of Florida's long-running homecoming tradition, making these an unusual piece of vintage Florida Gators / UF memorabilia. Promotional matchbooks such as these were disposable by nature, and surviving examples—particularly complete, unstruck examples—can be difficult to find.

Condition Summary
Two examples remain especially well preserved with their original full complements of 20 unstruck matches. The third matchbook contains 17 matches and shows evidence of three having been used or removed. All three retain strong orange-and-black graphics. There is typical vintage handling wear and some age toning/discoloration to the interiors, most noticeably on the example containing 17 matches. Overall, a very presentable group for nearly 40-year-old promotional matchbooks.
