Vintage 1990s Saks De Carlini Hand Painted Gold Glass Ornament 5\" Fruit Pear For Sale

Vintage 1990s glass ball ornament, hand-blown and hand-painted by Soffieria De Carlini in Italy exclusively for Saks Fifth Avenue.

Measurements: Approx. 5 in.

Design: A painted fruit medley on matte gold glass. It shows blush and yellow pears, a cluster of purple grapes, a watermelon slice, and red and teal fruits, with green leaves and red ribbon swirls. The brushstrokes are loose and bold, and the design wraps all the way around. The ornament has a gold filigree cap and a gold-edged ribbon hanger. It is signed "S5A" near the bottom and is undated.

Condition: Vintage and pre-owned, with noticeable wear typical of the era. There is gold finish loss with scratches and dark spots around the cap, small specks of paint loss on some of the fruit and leaves, and fraying at the ribbon ends. [No chips or cracks, if true.] Please see the photos.

A good fit for collectors of Saks Fifth Avenue holiday pieces and Italian hand-blown glass, and for kitchen- or harvest-themed trees. It also works as year-round décor.
