Classic chrome plated Husky hood ornament from a vintage Brockway Motor Truck, dating to circa 1958-1962. The Brockway Husky mascot debuted in 1957, with the chrome version used until 1962, when it was switched to gold plating for the company's 50th anniversary. Since this piece retains its original chrome finish, it dates to that early production window. The husky is shown in a running stance with mouth open, curled tail, and the signature Brockway detailing along the back. Solid heavy cast piece with real presence, a great find for truck collectors, automobilia fans, or anyone who wants a striking piece of industrial history on display.
Condition:
Sold as is, shows honest age and wear consistent with decades of use. Chrome plating has significant loss and oxidation throughout, especially on the underside of the legs and paw areas, and under his face where the base metal shows through.
