About This Piece:
Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic vintage Chinese Huishan clay figurine depicting Songzi Guanyin, the beloved manifestation of the Bodhisattva of Compassion holding a swaddled infant. Hand-painted with traditional vibrant slips, she wears a graceful lavender hooded cowl over a long white robe, standing atop a pink lotus base.
Unlike common mass-produced porcelain figures, this is a true piece of Chinese regional folk art. It is hand-molded from the famous, fibrous local clay harvested from the foothills of Huishan Mountain in Wuxi.

Excellent vintage condition with no major chips or structural cracks. The clay body remains solid, and the painted details are bright and well-preserved. (Please review all high-resolution photos of the base and body to verify the exact condition before purchasing).
