Vintage A.G. Coes & Co. adjustable/monkey wrench, manufactured in Worcester, Massachusetts, USA.The wrench is clearly stamped “A.G. COES & CO. WORCESTER MASS.” on one side of the upper jaw and has an additional triangular maker/patent-style marking on the opposite side.Features a heavy steel construction with an adjustable sliding jaw, knurled adjustment screw, and turned wooden handle. Measures approximately 10 inches long overall.Nice original condition with considerable age-related patina, oxidation, pitting, scratches and wear to the metal. The wooden handle has attractive aged color and normal wear. The adjustment mechanism appears intact; please review all photographs closely for exact condition.A great collectible example of an early American-made tool from the well-known Coes wrench manufacturing tradition of Worcester, Massachusetts.Sold as pictured.
