Vintage ART DECO Signed VERLYS Frosted Crystal BABY BIRD Fan Vase, FRANCE.
The unusual fan-shaped vase is made of substantial clear crystal with a soft frosted finish across the broad body. A pair of molded lovebirds nestles together above an intricately patterned base of sweeping leaves and berries. The birds and decorative relief remain clear against the satin-frosted background, creating a wonderful dimensional effect.
The underside of the base is hand-etched “Verlys” in script, as shown in the photographs. This etched signature and the dimensions/form correspond to known examples attributed to Verlys of America.
Verlys was known for high-quality pressed art glass inspired by the elegant French Art Deco tradition, particularly designs featuring birds, flowers and other naturalistic motifs.

Condition is very nice for its age, with normal light vintage surface wear. Please review all photographs carefully for exact condition.
