Charlie Komakhuk (Native American, Inuit, contemporary) ca. 1999 CE. A hand carved cedarwood kayak with stone figures and a seal draped over on the prow. Sinew cords are attached to a pair of harpoons with bone tips that can fit into the upraised hand, and a thin paddle made from a thin sheet of horn is held by the front figure. The underside is signed by the artist "Charlie Komakhuk / Nome AK
