Victorian-style candy confectionery wooden box from Barricini, a highly popular, luxury New York confectionery chain founded in 1920 by the Barricini sisters. During the 1920s through the 1940s, they became famous for packaging their premium chocolates in collectible, high-quality display boxes crafted out of Syroco gold gilt wood featuring a fine art lithograph print on the lid of a floral still life titled "Fragrance in Bloom" by the prominent Belgian painter Jean-Baptiste Robie (1821–1910). The intricate details on the lid make it a charming and elegant addition to any vanity or dressing table. This collectible piece is perfect for storing small treasures or keepsakes, adding a touch of vintage charm to any space. Measures 8”x8”. In good condition, there are some black areas of the mirror and the lid is a bit loose.
