Vintage Art Deco Karl Wieden KW Lift Arm Lighter Solingen Germany 1930s Leather
Up for sale is a highly collectible, authentic pre-WWII German petrol pocket lighter made by Richard Wieden / Karl Wieden (Solingen), circa late 1920s - early 1930s. This exquisite piece features a very rare and unique "removable bottom tank" variant of the classic Art Deco lift-arm mechanism. Unlike standard lift-arm lighters, the entire fuel tank seamlessly slides out from the bottom of the leather-wrapped sleeve, while the ignition mechanism remains securely attached to the top. Antique condition with an authentic age-earned patina. The dark green leather wrap is 100% original. The mechanical lift-arm system working. Upon striking, it produces a light smoke from historical fuel residue, which is typical for well-preserved untouched lighters of this era.
