Vintage Artist Signed Authentic Fedoskino Style Russian Lacquer Box PaintedExtremely rare, lacquer box painted by hand. Materials used: paper mache, lacquer oil, lacquer paint, egg tempera, shell, mother of pearl. Box measures 3.5” L x 2.5” W x 1.25” D.This box was painted & signed by the famous artist Pedockuho around 1964. Please see all pictures. On the outside—same side as hinge—shows signs of damage. It appears that it was fixed & re-lacquered. Given the age of this rare gem it’s expected & I don’t feel it takes away from the beauty of the piece but you need to be comfortable w it.
