Up for sale is a beautifully hand-woven, authentic vintage Navajo regional textile in the rare Three Turkey Ruins style.
Measuring exactly 38" x 57" (as verified by the included tape-measure photos), this piece showcases exceptional geometric precision and sharp tapestry craftsmanship.
Design & Regional Style:
While sharing structural similarities with the classic, bordered layout of a Two Grey Hills textile (featuring a prominent, multi-tiered stepped central diamond medallion), this rug is instantly distinguished as a Three Turkey Ruins variant by its distinct color palette. It blends natural, un-dyed handspun sheep cardings (creams, soft variegated grays, and deep charcoal/black) with rich, earthy accents of vegetal-dyed gold and ochre wool. The corners feature clean, geometric block framing motifs enclosed within a dark wool border.
Condition Details:
• Weave Quality: The weaving is tight, straight, and structurally sound.
• Symmetry: As shown in the measurement photos, the edges are square, true, and free of significant warping or uneven stretching.
• Finishing: The original hand-twisted corner tassels and side selvage cords remain intact, indicating it has been carefully handled and preserved.
(Note: Please review all uploaded photos carefully to evaluate the condition and color details for yourself before offerding. Feel free to message me with any questions.)
Shipping & Handling:
The rug will be carefully folded, wrapped in a protective, moisture-barrier layer, and securely boxed to ensure it arrives safely. Insured shipping with signature confirmation is required due to the value of this authentic Native American textile.
Don't miss the chance to add this striking, investment-grade piece of Southwest history to your collection!
