Description:
Up for sale is a vintage “Quick Trips by Telephone” embossed tin advertising display measuring approximately 13” x 9”. This appears to have been the front frame or face from a Bell System/telephone office rate display, designed to hold an interchangeable rate card in the center opening.
The front features the slogan:
“Quick Trips by Telephone”
and along the bottom:
“These are day station to station rates. Evening and night rates even lower.”
The reverse is heavily oxidized and stamped “Patent Pending” along the lower edge. The original hanging chain is still attached.
This is a fantastic piece of early telephone advertising and would display nicely in a collection of Bell System, telecommunications, country store, gas & oil, or industrial advertising.
