The gently domed removable lid has a large white central medallion decorated with a colorful bouquet of red, pink and purple flowers with delicate foliage. Ornate gilt decoration surrounds the floral reserve and continues around the sides of the box, creating a classic European-inspired appearance.
The deep blue combined with gold decoration gives this piece a particularly rich look and makes it attractive both as a functional keepsake box and as a display piece for a vanity, dresser, curio cabinet or porcelain collection.
The underside retains an older circular paper label appearing to read “KKN-535 / ABC / D 1809.” I have not been able to reliably identify this marking with a particular manufacturer, so the maker and country of origin are being left unidentified rather than making an unsupported attribution.

Collector Appeal
Cobalt blue porcelain with gilded decoration has a long history in European decorative ceramics, which is why later decorative pieces frequently draw inspiration from French and German porcelain traditions. Genuine documented examples from makers such as Meissen and Limoges can look stylistically similar, but without an identifiable factory mark this piece is best sold on its own decorative merits rather than attributed to one of those manufacturers.
It is a nice size for rings, earrings, small jewelry or keepsakes and would make an attractive gift for someone who collects cobalt porcelain or floral vanity accessories.
